Jeffrey S. Hornsby

Jeffrey S. Hornsby, Ph.D. holds the Henry Bloch/Missouri Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and assumed the role of Executive Director of the Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Chair of the Department of Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation in March 2014. He has co-authored 156 refereed journal and proceedings articles appearing the top journals in entrepreneurship and management including Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Journal of Operations Management. His research has earned five conference “best paper awards.” Recently, Dr. Hornsby and his coauthors were Recipient of the Journal of Operations Management Ambassador Award for the best cross-discipline article in the past five years. Dr. Hornsby has coauthored six books entitled: New Venture Management, Innovation Acceleration: Transforming Organizational Thinking, New Venture Management: The Entrepreneur’s Roadmap, The Human Resource Function in Emerging Enterprises, Frontline HR: A Handbook for the Emerging Manager, and Training Systems Management. He is currently completing his seventh book on corporate entrepreneurship and innovation. He is co-editor of the Journal of Small Business Management. Dr. Hornsby is currently on the board of the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers and the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization. He recently served as the USASBE 2016 Conference Chair, Senior Vice President of Programming (San Diego USASBE Conference), and a member of the Executive Board. He has consulted with entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 500 companies in the areas of business planning, leadership, human resources, high performance work systems, corporate entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
